I am Louisiana criminal law attorney Andrew Jackson Hodges IV, JD. I have been involved in criminal law since my undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, where I obtained a degree in criminal justice. After attending Southern University Law Center, I served as a staff attorney for the Honorable Michael R. Erwin, a judge in the 19th Judicial District Criminal Court. I then dedicated seven years of my practice to indigent defense in the East Baton Rouge Parish public defender’s office, where I handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases (including death penalty).

I have large-firm experience as head of the criminal division for Keogh Cox and Wilson, APLC, from 2002 to 2015. In 2005, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed me to serve as judge ad hoc in the Baton Rouge City Court.

With more than three decades of experience and more than 30 years of serving clients across Louisiana, I am a lifetime member of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (LACDL).
