Dedicated To Criminal Law
With offices in Shreveport and Baton Rouge, I represent individuals throughout the state facing criminal charges. I understand an arrest and criminal prosecution can be stressful for you and your family. Most people have no experience in the criminal justice system and find it an unfamiliar place where it is easy to be intimidated.
Complicated criminal cases can take time. I will be there every step of the way to ensure that my client’s constitutional rights are protected, regardless of the charge. Every client gets my personal email and cell phone number, ensuring my availability.

A Seasoned Legal Veteran
I am Louisiana criminal law attorney Andrew Jackson Hodges IV, JD. I have been involved in criminal law since my undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, where I obtained a degree in criminal justice. After attending Southern University Law Center, I served as a staff attorney for the Honorable Michael R. Erwin, a judge in the 19th Judicial District Criminal Court. I then dedicated seven years of my practice to indigent defense in the East Baton Rouge Parish public defender’s office for seven years, where I handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases (including the death penalty).
I have large-firm experience as head of the criminal division for Keogh Cox and Wilson, APLC, from 2002 to 2015. In 2005, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed me to serve as judge ad hoc in the Baton Rouge City Court. This is an honor I continue to fulfill at the city court judges’ request.
I am a lifetime member of the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (LACDL) and a founding member of the new LA DWI Defenders College, an organization providing Louisiana defense lawyers with comprehensive skills to address emerging trends in DWI prosecutions.
